Help & getting started

How LaunchPilot works.

A quick guide to connecting a channel, scheduling your first post, and understanding what data LaunchPilot accesses.

Getting started in three steps

  1. Connect a channelGo to your workspace and connect a social account — TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn or X. You are sent to the platform’s own official login (OAuth), you approve the permissions there, and you are returned to LaunchPilot. We never see your platform password.
  2. Compose and schedule a postOpen the composer, write your caption, add your image or video, and pick the channels to publish to. You see a platform-accurate preview for each. Drop it onto the calendar for a future time, or publish right away.
  3. Publish and reviewLaunchPilot publishes at the scheduled time via each platform’s official API. Afterwards, check Insights to see how the post performed and plan more of what works.

What data we access

When you connect a channel, you authorise LaunchPilot via OAuth to act on your behalf for publishing. We access only what is needed to do that:

  • An OAuth token for each connected platform, stored encrypted at rest.
  • The post content you create: text, images, video, hashtags and scheduling metadata.
  • Basic publishing results and insights returned by the platform for posts you published through us.

We do not sell your data and do not use it for advertising. The full detail, including per-platform data flow, is in our Privacy Policy.

How the TikTok integration works

LaunchPilot publishes to TikTok using TikTok’s official Content Posting API. The flow is straightforward:

  1. Connect: you link your TikTok account through TikTok’s official OAuth login and grant the publishing permission.
  2. Compose: you write your caption, add hashtags, choose your privacy setting (public, friends, only me) and your interaction preferences (comments, duet, stitch), and attach your video.
  3. Publish: LaunchPilot hosts your video on our verified domain and sends TikTok a request with the video URL and your settings. TikTok pulls the video directly from our server (PULL_FROM_URL) and posts it to your account.
  4. Insights: once published, you can review how the post performed in your Insights.
